a bill entitled an Act to establish in the city of Annapolis a
State Printing Office.
On motion of Mr. Mullin,
Leave was granted to the Committee-on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to add an additional section to article forty-five
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Husband and
Wife, so as to render the wife's separate property liable to
execution on account of debts contracted by her on the credit
of her separate estate.
On motion of Mr. Coudy,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to exempt a certain amount of property from exe-
cution.
On motion of Mr. Touchstone,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to intro-
duce a bill to provide for the inspection of stationary steam
boilers, and to regulate the management of stationary steam
engines in this State.
On motion of Mr. Hubbard,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Hubbard, Moore and Percy to
introduce a bill to repeal the act of eighteen hundred and
sixty-seven of Public Local Laws, chapter two hundred and
eighty-nine, sections one to ten inclusive, so far as it relates
to Caroline county.
On motion of Mr. Syester,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation to
introduce a bill providing for a system of public schools for
Washington county.
On motion of Mr. Mullin,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to add an additional section to article sixty-five
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Negligence, so
as to protect the lives and persons of employees in case of
death or damage arising while in the service of employers.
On motion of Mr. Williams.
Leave was granted to Messrs. Williams. Holloway, Corbin.
Hammond, Bond of Calvert, and Riggs, to introduce a bill
to amend the act of eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chap-
ter two hundred and ninety, entitled Public Roads.
On motion of Mr. Guy,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to add additional sections to article eighteen of
the Code of Public General Laws relating to "Clerks gener-
ally," and giving the clerks of the several courts of this State
the power to enter judgments during the recess of their sev-
eral courts,
On motion of Mr. Nelson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill incorporating the Workingmen's Savings Bank
(Arbeiter Sparbank) in Baltimore city.
