GENTLEMEN:— I have this day signed and transmitted to
the Clerk of the Court of Appeals the following bills re-
ceived from your Honorable Body on the 14th inst:

An Act to require the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Wash-
ington county to prepare and make a general index to the
land records of Washington county, and to transcribe one of
the equity dockets of said county.

An Act to amend and re-enact section 805, of Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to the city of Bal-
timore, under sub-title "orphans court."

An Act to provide for the better protection of partridges
in Washington county.

An Act entitled a supplement to an Act passed January
session, 1856, chapter 146, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Gilmor House Company.

An Act to repeal sections 22 and 24 of Article 61, of the
Code of Public General Laws entitled " mechanics lien,"
and to enact the following in lieu thereof.

An Act to define the limits of the several election districts
of Wicomico county.

An Act to make valid certain official Acts of John Miller,
as a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland, in and
for Somerset county.

An Act to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel county to levy and refund a certain
sum of money to Samuel Redgraves, of said county, for county
and school taxes erroneously paid by him.

An Act to change a part of the dividing line between the
3rd and 4th election districts of Baltimore county.

An Act entitled a supplement to an Act passed by the
General Assembly of Maryland at January session, 1864,
