The Secretary of the Senate returned the following House

The bill entitled an Act for the relief of William H. Peake
and David White, of Anne Arundel county.
The bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to the
Code of Public General Laws, Article 69, entitled officers.
The hill entitled an Act to enable Thomas Gemmell to hold
lands, and dispose of the same.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller and
Treasurer when ascertaining the amount of paid up subscrip-
tion to the capital stock of the Queen Anne's and Kent Rail
Road Company, to estimate the bonds of Queen Anne's county,
as cash at a specified rate per cent.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, chap-
ter 235, entitled an Act to repeal section 39 of Article 19 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the County Com-
missioners for Somerset county, and to re-enact the said sec-
tion 39 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws re-
lating to Somerset county, so as to read as follows.
The bill entitled an Act to amend the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title " Publication of Laws," by adding thereto
an additional section as follows.
The bill entitled an Act to provide for the appointment of
four Superintendents to supervise and control the repairs
and improvements of public county roads in Allegany
county, the one leading from Oakland to Accident, and
one from Accident to the national road, west of Grant-
