Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

On motion of Mr. Holloway,

(The rules being suspended)

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the St. Martin's
Inlet and Navigation Company.

Mr. Brown, (the rules being suspended) submitted the fol-
lowing order :

Ordered, That the Committee of Ways and Means he di-
rected to inquire into the propriety of disposing in part or in
whole of the unproductive investments of the State, and to
report by bill or otherwise.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Syester,
(The rules being suspended.)

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill to make valid a bequest by Victor
Thomson, deceased, to the Presbyterian Church, at Hagers-
Town.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Grand Lodge of the State
of Maryland, Independent Order of Good Templars.

Mr. Syester, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, (the rules being suspended,) reported favorably the
bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the State Libra-
rian to subscribe for a sufficient number of Simon J. Marti-
net's map of Maryland, to supply each Public School in the
State therewith.

Which was read a second time and ordered to he engrossed
for a third reading.

Also,

Favorably, the Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chap-
ter 129, of the Acts of 1864, entitled an Act to add additional
sections to the 44th Article of the Code of Public General
Laws, title " Maryland Hospital," prescribing an additional
oath to be taken by the President, Vice President and Visitors
of the said hospital, and to reinstate the former President,
vice President and Visitors of the said hospital in office.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.
