Petticord and George R. White ; for the Fourth
ward, Christopher Hemeilla and Isaac D. Pier-
sol ; for the Fifth ward, Charles C. Quinn and
Robert W. Hays ; for the Sixth ward, William
Schultz and John F. Cooke ; for the Seventh
ward, Joseph C. Southcomb and Richard Cow-
man ; for the Eighth ward, John Dubbery and
D. O. Robitson ; for the Ninth ward, J. M.
Myers and Henry Engel ; for the Tenth ward,
William H. Gill, Joseph T. Pierson, Charles
A. Schwatta and James J. Wilson ; for the
Eleventh ward, H. E. Colgan and Peter Kries ;
for the Twelfth ward, Stephen A. Morse and
Charles Augustine ; for the Thirteenth ward,
George W. Fountain and George W. Hayne ;
for the Fourteenth ward, John W. Pierce and
John W. A. Miller; for the Fifteenth ward,
Alexander Sumwalt and George J. Kries ; for

Thursdy and Jacob F. Cook, and for the Twen-
tieth ward, William Smith and Charles A.
Brawner ; and whereas, the said parties did
apply to Clerk of the Superior Court of Balti-
more City and qualify under such appointment,
and did each pay to said Clerk, for the State of
Maryland, the sum of two dollars on receiving
the commissions ; and whereas, by a decision of
the Court of Appeals, it appears that such com-
missions are void, therefore be it

Return money

Resolved ly the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Clerk of the Superior Court be, and ho
is hereby authorized and directed to return to
each of said persons, on demand, the said sum of
two dollars eo as aforesaid paid.
