The bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 289 of the laws
of Maryland, passed March 22, 1867, entitled an Act to add
a new Article to the Code of Public General Laws, to be
entitled Public Roads in Caroline and Talbot counties,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act authorizing the procurement of a
portrait of his Excellency, Thomas Swann, Governor of
Maryland, and appropriating a sum of money therefor,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to enable the vestry of St. Thomas
Parish, in Baltimore County, to hold money in trust for cer-
tain religious and charitable purposes connected with the
Protestant Episcopal Church in America, or with said

Parish,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act authorizing the " Howard Bank "
if the City of Baltimore to cancel and extinguish capital
stock owned and held by said Bank,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 210 of Article 10
of the Public Local Laws of Dorchester County, and to
enact the following in lieu of it,

Was read a second time and ordered to he engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to
invest the balance of the unappropriated funds arising from
the sale of the Land Scrip, donated to this State by the
United States, for the benefit of agricultural and mechani-
cal arts,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
be expended in removing the remains of the Confederate
dead who fell in the battles of South Mountain, Crampton's
Gap and Antietam, or died of wounds received in said battles
to the Antietam National Cemetery,
