CHAPTER 418.
AN ACT to repeal Section two of the Act passed
March thirteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, Chapter two hundred and eighty-six, en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Chester River
Fruit Packing Company, and to re-enact the
same with an amendment.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section two of the Act passed
March thirteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, Chapter two hundred and eighty-six, enti-
tled An Act to incorporate the Chester Fruit Pack-
ing Company, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects of
said corporation are the packing of peaches and
other fruits, oysters, meats and vegetables, the
manufacture of tin cans, the sawing and planing
of planks, the grinding of Sorghum, making lime,
the grinding of wheat, corn and all other kinds of
train, using machinery and other articles of any
escription, to aid in carrying on the business of
fruit packing and milling in all its branches, and
for which purpose they are authorized to purchase
and hold all necessary buildings, machinery, tools,
vessels, materials, &c., required for the conducting
of their said business.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
