lege, upon which two pupils from the city of Bal-
timore, and one from the County of Wicomico,
shall be admitted to all the instructions given in
the College, and to the privileges of the Normal
Class, with the use of all necessary books, without
any charge whatever.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That to meet the ex-
penses of the above, the further sum of three hun-
dred dollars, in addition to the present donation
of twenty-two hundred dollars, shall, on the war-
rant of the Comptroller of the State, be annually
. paid on the first day of April each and every year,
to the President of the Board of Trustees of the
College.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That in filling vacan-
' cies in all the free scholarships established in the
College by the State, the Orphans' Courts of the
several counties and of the city of Baltimore, shall
always give preference to such applicants as may
be presented to them by the several Boards of
School Commissioners respectively of the several
counties.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted. That instead of the
usual mode of selecting an annual Board of Trus-
tees, the present Trustees, Dr. A. E. Gibson,
Henry Slicer, Jas. M. Lester, Dr. Henry G. Hunt,
W. S. Edwards, Samuel G. Miles, W. H. Holli-
day, John Hurst, Wm. H. Chapman, Joshua
Dryden, R. Hinkle, James F. Purvis, Dr. Thos.
E. Bond, Thos. K. Turner, J. S. Deale, Andrew
Longacre, R. W. Black, Thos. Sherlock, and their
successors, constitute a permanent Board of Trus-
tees, with power to fill all vacancies that may
occur by death, resignation or removal from the
city.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts m relation to the Baltimore Female Col-
lege, inconsistent with this Act, be and the same are
hereby repealed.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage, and the General
Assembly reserves the right to alter, amend or re-
peal this Act at pleasure.
