CHAPTER 391.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore to issue the Bonds of the said City
for the purpose of building a City Hall.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore be and they are hereby authorized to
issue the Bonds of the said City to an amount not
exceeding the sum of one million of dollars, the
proceeds from the sale of said Bonds to be used in
the construction of a City Hall in the City of Bal-
timore ; provided, that before the issue of said
Bonds the said loan be authorized by an ordinance
of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, and
approved by a majority of the votes of the legal
voters of the said city, cast at such time and places
as may be fixed by said ordinance as prescribed in
the seventh Section of Article eleven of the Consti-
tution of this State.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
