Sec. 16. And be it enacted, That, this Company
shall not be authorized to charge tolls on any
vehicle passing over this road for the purpose of
going to or from a funeral.

Sec. 17. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage ; the Gen-
eral Assembly reserves the right to alter, amend,
repeal or alter this Act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 366.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments
Sections thirty-three, thirty-four, thirty-five,
thirty-nine and seventy-five of Article eighty-
one of the Code of Public General Laws, enti-
tled "Revenue and Taxes," and relating to the
appointment of, and the bonds to be given by,
and compensation paid, to the Collectors of State
Taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections thirty-three, thirty-four,
thirty-five, thirty-nine and seventy-five of Article
eighty-one of rue Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled "Revenue and Taxes," be and the same
are hereby repealed, and that there be enacted in
lieu thereof the following :

33. The County Commissioners in the several
counties and the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more shall, on the first Tuesday in April in each
year, or as soon thereafter as may be, appoint a
collector or collectors for their respective counties,
and one Collector for Baltimore City, for the col-
lection of taxes levied, or to be levied for the cur-
rent year, and it shall not be lawful for the local
authorities of the said counties or the municipal au-
thorities of said city, to provide any fixed annual
