Arundel county.

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Mr. Johnson, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably the Senate bill entitled an Act to permit citi-
zens of Hooper's Island, Dorchester County, to shoot and
take wild fowl from sink boats, blinds, or otherwise, for
home consumption.

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Mr. Stewart of Dorchester, Chairman of a select commit-
tee, reported favorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal section
210 of Article 10 of the Public Local Laws of Dorchester
county, and to enact the following in lieu thereof.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Riggs, Chairman of a select committee, reported fa-
vorably a bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller
to invest the balance of the unappropriated fund arising from
the sale of land scrip donated to this State by the United
States, for the benefit of agricultural and mechanical arts.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Hubbard, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 289 of the
Laws of Maryland, passed March 22nd, 1867, entitled an
Act to add a new Article to the Code of Public General
Laws to be entitled Public Roads, in Caroline and Talbot
counties.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Chaisty, Chairman of a select committee, submitted
the following report:

HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
Annapolis, February 6th, 1868.
TO THE HONORABLE SPEAKER

AND MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES :

GENTLEMEN : The committee appointed by the House of
Delegates to visit the Maryland Hospital, in the City of Bal-
timore, respectfully submit the following Report as the result
of their labor:

Having arrived in the city, your committee were met by a
delegation from the Board of Visitors, and conducted to the
Institution, where they were welcomed by Doctors Fonerden,
