LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Levy on
assessable pro-
perty.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for the construc-
tion of said bridge, the County Commissioners of
Cecil county, be and they are hereby authorized
and empowered, in their discretion, to levy on the
assessable property of said county a sum not ex-
ceeding ten thousand dollars, and that the County
Commissioners of Kent county are hereby author-
ized and empowered, in their discretion, to levy on
the assessable property of Kent county, a sum not
exceeding ten thousand dollars ; provided, the said
bridge be constructed with a draw in the channel
of said river not less than thirty-five feet in the
clear in width.

In force.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 350.

AN ACT to authorize and empower Joshua Jes-
sop, of Baltimore county, trustee of the Du-
laney's Valley and Sweet Air Turnpike Com-
pany, to sell and convey the franchise of said
company, which was granted to it by an Act of
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed Feb-
ruary sixteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-
four, Chapter one hundred and eighty-five.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The Dulaney's Valley and Sweet Air
Turnpike Company, by their deed bearing date
the 13th day of May, in the year, 1866, and duly
executed, acknowledged and recorded among the
Land Records of Baltimore county, has conveyed
to Joshua Jessop, his heirs and assigns, in trust for
the benefit of the creditors of said company, all
the property of whatsoever description of which
the said company was possessed ; and the said com-
pany and said trustee are desirous of disposing
of their franchise granted to them as aforesaid ;
therefore,
