mile to all persons and companies transporting
coal over said Railroad ; and that whenever the
said Railroad Company shall make any reduction

in the rate per ton per mile for toll and transporta-
tion of coal over its Railroad for a distance of ten
miles or upwards, a proportionate reduction of
charge shall be made for toll and transportation
of coal over its Railroad for shorter distances, and
in like manner in cases of reduction of charges for
toll and transportation of coal over its Railroad
for a distance not exceeding ten miles, or for a dis-
tance not exceeding five miles.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 335.
AN ACT to repeal Sections seventy -six and
seventy-seven of Article thirty-five, title "Elec-
tions," of the Code of Public General Laws,
and to enact a Section in lieu thereof regulating
the time of the Election of Representatives in
Congress of this State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Sections seventy-six and
seventy-seven of Article thirty-five of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, be and the
same are hereby repealed, and the following Section
enacted in lieu thereof :

76. Elections of Representatives of this State in
the Congress of the United States, shall be held
on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in the
month of November every two years, commencing
in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, and
taking place every second year thereafter.
