Treasurer to
pay.
|
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the
Treasurer of the State, upon the warrant of the
Comptroller, is hereby authorized and directed to
pay to the, Worcester Railroad Company twenty-
five thousand dollars, and to the Worcester and
Somerset Railroad Company the sum of ten thou-
sand dollars upon the same terms and provisos in
respect to each of said Companies as are contained
in the same original Act, except the proviso men-
tioned in the first Section of this Act ; provided
that no part of said sum of ten thousand dollars
hereby appropriated to the Worcester and Somer-
set Railroad shall be used by said road contrary
to the original appropriation for internal improve-
ments in Worcester County.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 297.
AN ACT to repeal an Act to repeal the Act of
Eighteen hundred and sixty-five, Chapter One
hundred and seventy-four, entitled An Act re-
lating to the Registration of the Voters of the
State, and to enact other provisions relating to
the Registration of Voters in lieu thereof, Chap-
ter three hundred and thirty-six, passed March
the thirteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, and to enact other provisions relating to
the Registration of Voters in lieu thereof.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act to repeal the Act of
eighteen hundred and forty-five, Chapter one hun-
dred and seventy-four, entitled " An Act relating
to the Registration of the voters of the State, and
