Sec. 22. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 292.

AN ACT to add an additional Section to Article
fifty-three of the Code of Public General Laws of
the State of Maryland, entitled "Landlord and
Tenant," to follow Section twenty-one.

 

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
Maryland, That the following Section be added to
Article fifty-three, of the Code of Public General
Laws of .the State of Maryland, entitled Landlord
and Tenant, to follow Section twenty-one.

Additional.

Sec. 22. And be it enacted, That in all cases of
renting lands, wherein a share of the growing crop
or crops shall be reserved as rent, said rent re-
served shall be a lien on such crop or crops, which
shall not be diverted by any sale made thereof by
the tenant, or by the assignment of the tenant in
bankruptcy or insolvency, or by the process of law
issued against the tenant.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
