any person so offending shall forfeit and pay into
the Treasury the sum of five hundred dollars, one-
half of which shall be placed by the Treasurer to
the credit of the Public School fund and the other
half to the informer, the whole amount of which
shall be recoverable by law as other fines and pen-
alties are recovered ; provided that nothing in this
Act shall be so construed as to effect in any way
regularly licensed insurance brokers.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 244.

A SUPPLEMENT to an Act to repeal Section
three of the Act entitled "An Act to incorporate
the town of Lutherville in Baltimore County,"
passed at the January Session of the General
Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
and to re-enact the same with amendments and
to add new Sections.

Repealed and
re-enacted.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section three of the Act enti-
tled "An Act to incorporate the town of Luther-
ville in Baltimore County," be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows :

Election.

Sec. 3. Be it enacted, That the citizens of Lu-
therville shall hold an election on the first Monday
of April next, or as soon thereafter as may be
convenient, and in each and every year thereafter
for three Commissioners, who shall have the man-
agement qf the town, and who shall have full
powers and authority to enact and pass all laws
and ordinances to preserve the health of the town,
prevent and remove nuisances, to impose and ap-
propriate fines, penalties and forfeitures for the
