thereof as may remain unpaid ; and the said At-
lantic and George's Creek Coal Company may pro-
vide by its laws for the forfeiture of and may for-
feit any capital stock which may not be returned
to the said Company by the holder thereof, and
may provide for the forfeiture of any reduced stock

upon which an assessment shall be made as afore-
said when the same shall not have been paid ac-
cording to the terms of the said assessment, pro-
vided that a notice of the calling in of the said
original stock, and of the assessment made upon
said reduced stock and of the manner, times and
amounts in which the same is payable, is published
four times a month for three successive months in
two newspapers published in the city of Baltimore.

Not to take
effect unless
approved.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act
shall not take effect unless the same shall be ac-
cepted by the stockholders of the Atlantic and
George's Creek Coal Company at a general meeting
of said stockholders ; but in case of the acceptance
of this Act by the said stockholders at such gene-
ral meeting this Act shall forthwith go in full
effect and operation.

CHAPTER 242.
AN ACT to repeal Section thirty-six, Article
nineteen, of the Public Local Laws, title "Som-
erset County," regulating the terms of the Cir-
cuit Court for Somerset County and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section thirty-six, of Article
nineteen, of the Public Local Laws, title "Somer-
set County," be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted to read as follows :
