A bill entitled an Act to permit citizens of Hooper's
Island, Dorchester County, to shoot and take wild fowl from
sink boats, blinds, or otherwise, for home consumption.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Dorchester
Delegation.

Also,

A bill entitled an act to alter and amend an Act to incor-
porate the Mutual Insurance Company of Allegany county,
passed at December session, 1847, chapter 111, and the sev-
eral supplements thereto, so as to convert the said company
into a Stock Company, to be known as the Fire Insurance
Company of Allegany county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Mr. Colton (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following message:

Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received from your Honorable Body, House bill
entitled an Act to incorporate the Continental Fire and Ma-
rine Insurance Company of Baltimore, with proper amend-
ments. We have non-concurred in same, and ask your
Honorable Body to recede from proposed amendments.
