CHAPTER 205.
|
 
|
AN ACT to repeal Section three of Article thirty-
three of the Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to Indigent Blind, and re-enact the same
with amendments.
|
Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section three of Article thirty-
three of the Code of Public General Laws, relating
to " Indigent Blind," be and is hereby repealed,
and the following re-enacted in lieu thereof.

Annual ap-
propriation.
|
Sec. 3. A sum not exceeding fifteen thousand
dollars shall be annually appropriated to be ap-
plied, under the direction of the Governor, in
placing for instruction in the Maryland Institu-
tion for the instruction of the Blind, such indigent
blind persons of the age of nine years and up-
wards, inhabitants of this State and the county or
city from which they are recommended, as may be
duly recommended to the Governor by the County
Commissioners of each county, and by the Judges
of the Orphan's Court of Baltimore City.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 206.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of Queen Anne's County to levy a sum of mo-
ney or issue bonds for repairing and altering
the Courthouse in said county.
