the sidewalk on the western side of the main road
leading from Galena, where the roads cross, to
the hill at Georgetown, nor on the side walk on the
northern and eastern side of the public road lead-
ing from the northwestern precincts of Chester-
town to the westernmost corner of Chester Ceme-
tery on the road to Wheland's Mills, and any
person thus offending shall be subject to a fine of
two dollars for the first offence, and three dollars
for every subsequent offence, to be recovered before

a Justice of the Peace as small debts are recovered,
in the name of the County Commissioners for Kent
County, and such moneys when recovered shall
be paid to them to be expended under their direc-
tions, for the purpose of repairing and improving
respectively the said sidewalks, which shall not
exceed eight feet in width on their surface ; pro-
vided, that nothing in this Act shall prevent per-
sons riding or driving across said sidewalks to
obtain access to adjoining lands, or for the purpose
of entering the grounds of Chester Cemetery.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 183.
AN ACT to repeal an Act entitled "An Act to
add a new Section to Article twelve," of the
Code of Local Laws for Harford County, enti-
tled " schools," relating to the Harford County
Academy and to the Cokesburg or Abingdon
Academy, and re-enact the same with an amend-
ment restoring the State donation to the Harford
County Academy.
