Justice or Justices of the Peace, in all and singular
actions, matters, demands and controversies what-
soever.

Benevolent
relief.
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall and
may be lawful for the said, corporation or body
politic to have a common seal for their use, and
the same, at their will and pleasure, to change,
alter and make anew from time to time as they
may think best, and shall have and exercise all
such rights, privileges and immunities as by law
are incident to corporations, and which may be ne-
cessary to enable said corporation to carry out the
designs thereof, to wit : for their mutual improve-
ment, for the benevolent relief of the sick and dis-
tressed, and for the promotion of their purposes
generally ; also, to make such Constitution, rules
and by-laws for the regulation and government of
said corporation as to them may seem fit, and to
change, alter or amend the same at any time, pro-
vided the same be not in conflict with the laws of
the United States or the State of Maryland.

Change.
|
Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the General As-
sembly of Maryland reserves the right to change,
alter or annul this Act of incorporation at any
time.

In force.
|
Sec. 5. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 179.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact the Act of 1867,
Chapter one hundred and eighty-five, for the
Suppression of the Crime of unlawful Abortion.

Repealed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act of 1867, Chapter one
hundred and eighty-five, be and th'e same is hereby
repealed, and the following enacted in lieu thereof:
