Which was adopted.

Mr. Markland, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That Mr. McElroy have.leave of absence for two
days.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Clark, (the rules being suspended,) presented the

Memorial of Joshua Anderson, signed by citizens of How-
ard and Anne Arundel counties, praying a new condemna-
tion of certain land at Hooversville, heretofore condemned by
the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road Company, and the pas-
sage of a general law concerning lands condemned by Rail
Road Companies.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Riggs, (the rules being suspended,) presented the
petition of sundry citizens of Montgomery county, praying
the passage of an Act to continue in force the present school
system, until 15th July, 1868.

W^hich was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Guy, (the rules being suspended,) presented the
petition of the residents of Bladensburg, Prince George's
county, asking the passage of an Act authorizing the Commis-
sioners of said town, to levy annually on the property within
the limits of said town, the sum of fifteen cents on the hun-
dred dollars, for the purpose of improving the streets and
public property of said town.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's dele-
gation.

Mr. Syester submitted the following

JOINT RESOLUTION.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be and he is hereby requested upon such conditions
as he shall deem fit, to deliver to John de la Camp for com-
pletion the unfinished maps now in the office of the Execu-
tive, heretofore made under the commission created by this
State, and the State of Virginia, to trace and define the bound-
ary lines between the States of Maryland and Virginia.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Mitchell, chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported favorably the Senate bill entitled an Act to
repeal section 5, of Article 60, of Public General Laws, en-
