capital stock of said Company.

Power to con-
solidate.
|
Sec. 11. And be it enacted^ That upon the com-
pletion of the said lateral or branch road to the
intersection aforesaid, it shall be lawful for the
Union Bridge Turnpike Company, and the Liberty,
Johnsville and Pipe Creek Turnpike Companies,
upon a mutual agreement between a majority of
the stockholders of both said roads, to consolidate
and form one Company, to be hereafter known
and .styled the Union Bridge and Liberty Turn-
pike Company, and said consolidated Turnpike
Company shall have all the powers, privileges
and franchises of either or both of the original
Turnpike Companies ; and whereas a number of
citizens of Union Bridge and vicinity have hereto-
fore contributed the means, and had one mile or
more of said road graded and McAdamized,
therefore,

Contributors
to receive
stock.

Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That the amount
severally of the several contributors to the road as
aforesaid, shall be considered and entered on the
books of the Union Bridge Turnpike Company as
though the said contributions were bona fide and
original subscriptions, and the said contributors
shall be entitled to certificates of stock, each person
to the full amount of his contribution to said road.

Not to charge
funerals.
|
Sec. 13. And be it enacted, That this Company
shall not be privileged to charge any tolls for
vehicles, passing over its road for the purpose of at-
tending funerals.

In force and
reservation.
|
Sec. 14. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and the
Legislature reserves the right to alter or amend
this Act at pleasure.
