Payment.
|
the corporation, either to the owner or into Court,
as the Court shall order, the said corporation shall
be entitled to the property absolutely, or for such
estate, interest or use as shall have been valued
and described in the inquisition and report, as
fully as the same could be vested in the corpora-
tion by a valid conveyance from the owner, and
the corporation shall have the right to take away
any material so valued.

Make con-
tracts.
|
Sec. 18. And be it enacted, That the said cor-
poration shall have authority to make contracts,
connections and arrangements with other compa-
nies for the through transportation of property
and passengers.
|
Authority to
subscribe.
|
Sec. 19. And be it enacted, That the Baltimore
and Ohio Railroad Company shall have authority
to subscribe for so much of the said capital stock
as the Board of Directors thereof shall deem ex-
pedient.
|
Reservation.
|
Sec. 20. And be it enacted, That the General,
Assembly reserves to itself the right to alter or re-
peal this Act at pleasure.
|
Limit.
|
Sec. 21. And be it enacted, That unless the said
Railroad, hereby authorized, shall be commenced
within five years and completed within fiiteen
years after the passage of this Act, the privileges
hereby granted to said corporation shall cease, ex-
cept so far as it may be necessary to wind up its
affairs.

In force.
|
Sec. 22. And be it enacted, That this Act take
effect from the date of its passage.
