The Speaker laid before the House the petition of R. Q.
Tdylor and 230 others, asking a modification of the Sunday law
in relation to the sale of drugs, mineral water and ice cream.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Boyer presented the petition of George A. Barton,
John H. Ruth, and 20 other citizens, praying the passage of
an Act to incorporate the Independent Order of Odd-Fellows
at Church Hill, in Queen Anne's county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.
Mr. Stewart, of Dorchester, presented a petition signed
by the County Commissioners of Dorchester County, and 30
other citizens, asking the passage of an Act allowing an in-
creased compensation to the Sheriff for keeping prisoners.
Which was read and referred to the Dorchester delegation.
