	CHAPTER 149.
	AN ACT to repeal a Proviso in the fourth Section of the Act passed at January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, Chapter one hundred and fifty, entitled " An Act to amend the Charter of the Kent County Railroad Company," passed January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-six, Chapter one hundred and forty-eight, entitled "An Act to incorporate the Kent County Railroad Company," to secure the com- pletion of the said road by the issuing of addi- tional bonds of the Company, and to provide for the payment of the State's subscription for stock in said Company, to waive the State's lien re- lating to the State's payment of one-fourth of her subscription for stock in one year, and to re-enact the said Section as thus amended.
Repealed and re-enacted.	SECTION 1 . Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the first Proviso in the fourth. Section of the Act passed at January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, Chapter one hundred and fifty, which reads as follows : Pro- vided the whole payment by the State in any one year shall not exceed the one-fourth of the sub- scription of stock by the State,' be, and the same is hereby repealed, and that the word " and," and the word " further," in the second proviso in the said Section be also repealed, and that the said Suction, thus amended, be, and the same is hereby re-enacted, to read as follows ;
Comptroller to issue warrant.	Sec, 4. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant to the Treasurer for the payment to the Kent County Railroad Company, for the State appropriation heretofore made for the said Company, as it may be called for by said Company, provided, that the said pay- ment by the State shall not exceed the amount which has been previously paid by other parties, including contributions, value of work, land or materials, as may be shown from time to time by
