third Section of the last mentioned Act, or under
the second Section of the Act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-six, Chapter one hundred and twenty-
six, changing the name and increasing the powers
of said Company, the said Directors of the Mary-
land Insurance and Security Company be and they
are hereby authorized to issue the same in shares
of twenty-five instead of fifty dollars each.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and immediately after its passage.

CHAPTER 135.

AN ACT to amend and re-enact the one hundred
and thirty-fifth Section of the twelfth Article of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Harford
County," sub-title "Sheriffs."

Amended.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section one hundred and thirty-
five of Article twelve of the Code of Public Local
Laws be and the same is hereby amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows :

Forty-five
cents per day.

Sec. 135. He shall be entitled to forty-five cents
per day for boarding each prisoner confined in said
jail.

In force,

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage and con-
tinue in force for four years.
