CHAPTER 117.

 

AN ACT to repeal Sections first and second of the
Act of Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-
two, Chapter two hundred and thirty-four, en-
titled "An Act to amend an Act to provide for
the erection of a Hospital for the Insane of this
State," and Sections fourth, fifth, sixth and
eighth of the Act of Assembly of eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-four, Chapter two hundred and
forty-eight, entitled "An Act for the govern-
ment of the Insane Asylum, and to regulate ad-
missions thereto, and to enact the following sec-
tions in lieu thereof:

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Sections first and second of the
Act of Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-
two, Chapter two hundred and thirty-four, entitled
"An Act to amend an Act to provide for the erecr
tion of a Hospital for the Insane of this State, and
Sections fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth of the Act
of Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-four,
Chapter two hundred and forty-eight, entitled
" An Act for the government of the Insane
Asylum, and to regulate admissions thereto,' be,
and they are hereby repealed.

Commission-
ers.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Commis-
sioners, Richard S. Stewart, Benjamin C. Howard,
Richard Potts, Washington Duvall and Cathel
Humphreys, or so many of them and their succes-
sors appointed according to the provisions of the
Act of Assembly of eighteen hundred and fifty-
two, Chapter three hundred and two, as may have
held the office at the time of the passage of the
Act of Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-
two, Chapter two hundred and thirty-four, be, and
they are hereby re-appointed as Commissioners in
lieu of any Commissioners, Trustees or Directors
who may now be acting by the appointment of the

Hand over
books.

Governor, and all or any such persons are hereby
directed, to hand over to the aforesaid Commission-
ers, now re-appointed, all books, papers, accounts,
moneys, or other property belonging to said trust,
