CHAPTER 104.
AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to be
expended in removing the remains of the Con-
federate dead who fell in the battles of South
Mountain, Crampton's Gap, Antietam and Mo-
nocacy, or died of wounds received in said bat-
tles, to the Antietam National Cemetery.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of five thousand dol-
lars or so much thereof as may be necessary be
and the same is hereby appropriated, for the pur-
pose of removing to the National Antietam and
Monocacy Cemetery, in this State, ,the remains of
the Confederate dead now lying in this State who
fell in the battles at South Mountain, Crampton's
Gap, Antietam and Monocacy, or died of wounds
received in those battles.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted as aforesaid, That the
Treasurer of the State be and he is hereby autho-
rized and required, upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller, to pay to the Treasurer of the Antietam
National Cemetery the said sum of five thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be required, in
monthly installments of one thousand dollars each,
commencing on the first day of April next.

AN ACT authorizing the " Howard Bank," of
the city of Baltimore, to cancel and extinguish
capital stock owned and held by said Bank.
