CHAPTER 74.
AN ACT to incorporate the Opake Zinc Company.

Incorporation
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Mar I/I and, That David L. Bartlett, German H.
Hunt, Horace W. Robbins, Thomas M. Smith and
Robert Poole, their associates, successors and as-
signs be, and they are hereby incorporated and
created a corporation and body politic by the
name of the Opake Zinc Company, and by that
name may have perpetual succession, may sue and
he sued, may make and use a common seal, and
alter such other acts in relation to the objects and
purposes of their incorporation hereinafter declared
and necessary for the exercise of the powers and
rights granted to the said corporation by this Act.

Objects and
purposes.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects and
purposes of the said corporation are declared to be
the manufacture of paints, and materials and in-
gredients therefor of any description whatever, at
the pleasure of the corporation, and the carrying
on the business aforesaid, and for these objects
and purposes the said corporation is hereby au-
thorized and empowered to purchase and hold
alien and dispose of lands and factories in fee
simple, or for any other estate, and to erect build-
ings and other improvements on such lands as
may be deemed convenient, and to procure by
purchase or other lawful means all kinds of ne-
