Treasury to pay Benjamin Standford nine dollars
and fifty seven cents, the amount due him as cer-
tified to by the Comptroller and Treasurer for over
payment into the Treasury.

Sec. 2. And le it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 49.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County to sell ami
convey the Almshouse property of said county,
and invest so much of the proceeds thereof as
may be necessary in the building or purchasing
another Almshouse for said county.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Dorchester County are hereby authorized and em-
powered to sell and convey the property known as
the "Almshouse property " of said county, ami
invest so much thereof as may be necessary in the
purchasing or building another Almshouse for said
county in some desirable and healthful locality.
