vending in said Court of Appeals, wherein the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is the appel-
lant, and the Union Railroad Company of Balti-
more the appellee.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act In force
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 44.
AN ACT supplementary to an Act to incorporate
the Western Run Turnpike Company, passed in
eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, Chapter
three hundred and ninety-six.

WHEREAS, it has been found necessary for pub-
lic convenience that the Western Run Turnpike
Company be empowered to make a diversion in
the route of their turnpike, as prescribed in their
Charter.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Directors of the Western
Run Turnpike Company are hereby authorized, in
their discretion, to locate the route for their turn-
pike as follows: Beginning at the Baltimore and
Yorktown Turnpike, at the intersection of the
Gx-iger or Oregon Furnace Road, above Cockeys-
ville, and passing over the bed of said Geiger Road
to Wisner's Shop, at the intersection of the Geiger
Road and Merry man's Lane ; thence by way of
said lane or road to Western Run Creek ; thence
following the course of said creek to its intersec-
tion with Black Rock Creek ; thence to the Falls
Road, in the vicinity of Black Rock Church, either
upon the beds of county roads now in use, or other-
wise, as may be desirable.
