LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Maryland shall be entitled to vote for Commis-
sioners of said town of Lutherville.

Fill vacancy,

Sec. 5. Be it enacted, That a majority of the
Commissioners shall constitute a quorum to trans-
act business, and in case of a vacancy in the Board
of Commissioners during the year, the remaining
Commissioners shall have power to fill the vacancy
until the regular town election for electing Town.

Sec. f>. And be it enacted, That this law shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 34.

 

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to repair
and paint the wood-work of the State House,
and improve the grounds surrounding it.

Repair State
House.

SECTION 1. Be if enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of thirty-five hundred
dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated, or
so much thereof as may be necessary for repairing
and painting the wood-work of the State House
and improve the grounds surrounding it.

Work to he

contracted for

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said work
shall be contracted for and done under the super-
vision of the Clerk of the Court of Appeals and
Secretary of the Senate, and the Comptroller is
hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant
on the Treasurer to pay the person or persons em-
ployed to do such work, upon the certificate of the
said Clerk of the Court of Appeals and Secretary
of the Senate, for such sum or sums of money as
they may certify to be due, not exceeding the sum
of thirty-five hundred dollars.

In force.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
