See. 805. The bailiff of said Orphans' Court
shall receive four dollars a day for each days at-
tendance upon said Court.

Sec 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 21.
|

AN ACT to provide for the better protection of
partridges in Washington county.
|
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That no person or persons shall-
either trap, shoot, or in any manner wound or kill
any partridge or partridges in Washington county,
from the date of the passage of this Act until the
twentieth day of October, A. D. 1870.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That any person or
persons violating the preceding section, shall pay
a fine of ten dollars for each and every partridge
killed or wounded in violation thereof, to be re-
covered before a Justice of the Peace of said
county, one-half of which fine shall be paid to the
County Commissioners for the use of the Public
Schools of said county, and the other half to the
informer.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the operation of
all Acts of Assembly in conflict with this Act be
and are hereby suspended until the expiration of
the same.
