House Joint Resolutions on the subject of Labor in the State of Maryland were, On motion by Mr. Miller, Indefinitely postponed. House Joint Resolution to repay to Henry P. Rose and others, the accounts paid by them respectively, on receiving commissions as Constables, which commissions have been decided by the Court of Appeals to be void, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Henkle, Browne, Hammond, Brewer, Lee, Clarke, Maddox, Carroll, Miller, Denson, Parser, of Calvert, Earle, Snyder, Fields, Welch—17. Grove, NEGATIVE—None. And returned to the House of Delegates. The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the follow- ing Senate bills, Endorsed " Passed by yeas and nays : " A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Long Green and Jarrettsville Turnpike Company, in Harford and Baltimore counties. A bill entitled an Act to refund to B. B. Bush, late col- lector of State taxes in Baltimore county, moneys erro- neously paid into the State Treasury by him in the years 1864,1866 and 1866. A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 57, 58, 59, 60 61, of Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's county, and to re-enact the same with amendments. A bill entitled an Act to empower the Chesnut Hill Iron Ore Company of Columbia, Penn., to hold lands in the State of Maryland.
