1868.] OF THE SENATE. 791 Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Grove, Browne, Henkle, Brewer, Hyland, Clarke, Maddox, Denson, Parker, of Calvert, Earle, Smith, Fields, Walsh—14. NEGATIVE. Messrs. Carroll, Spates, Kimmel, Snyder, Lee, Welch—7. Miller, Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered Senate bill entitled an Act incorporating the Western Maryland College, Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays." Also, Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of an Act passed March 21, 1867, chapter 329, entitled an Act to pro- vide for the selection, drawing and summoning of jurors in the several counties, and prescribing their qualification, and re-enact the same with amendment, Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays." Also, Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Directors of the Maryland Penitentiary to construct Dormitory Buildings for the convicts in said prison, and make an appropriation therefor. Endorsed, "Rejected by yeas and nays." Also, returned Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of Public Local Laws, to be entitled Public Roads in Caroline county, With proposed amendments: Strike out sections 5 and 6. Which were adopted, And the bill, as amended, passed by yeas and nays as follows: 51 |
