784 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 30, Grove, Parker, of Calvert, Henkle, Smith, Hammond, Welch—13. Kimmel, NEGATIVE. Messrs. Browne, Fields, Brewer, Lee, Carroll, Spates, Earle, Snyder—8. The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to issue the bonds of said city for the purpose of building a City Hall. Which was read the first time and referred to the Balti- more city delegation. Also, returned Senate bill entitled an Act to appoint commissioners to have a survey made and estimate of the cost of constructing a rail road from some point in Prince George's county, to Point Lockout, With proposed amendments: Section 1, line 2, after " appoint," insert five. Section 1, line 3, after " commissions," insert three. Insert after section 1, another section to read as follows .- And be it enacted, That the commissioners appointed under this Act, shall before entering upon their duties, execute a joint bond to be approved by the Governor, in the sum of twenty thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties and trusts prescribed in this Act. Which were adopted. And the bill as amended passed by yeas and nays as fol- lows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Kimmel, Browne, Lee, Biggs, Maddox, Brewer, Miller, Carroll, Malone, Earle, Parker, of Calvert, Fields, Spates, Grove, Snyder, Hammond, Walsh—18.. NEGATIVE—None. |
