House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Adjutant General to purchase arms for the use of Charlotte Hall School, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Lee, Browne, Maddox, Biggs, Miller, Brewer, Malone, Clarke, Parker, of Calvert, Earle, Spates, Henkle, Smith Hyland, Welch—17. Kimmel, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 6, of chapter 189, of the Laws of Maryland, passed January session, 1867, entitled an Act to provide by law for taking and perpetuating the evidence of the number of persons held to labor and ser- vice in the State of Maryland, and emancipated by the Con- stitution adopted in year 1864, and by whom such persons were so held, passed March 22, 1867, and substitute in lien thereof the following section, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE.
