Section 18. Strike out the section.

Section 20, line 1, strike out "military," and insert mili-
tia.

Section 21, line 1, after chief, insert: Within the limit
of the appropriations by Act of the General Assembly, and
in the manner prescribed in the 17th section of this Act ; and
in line 7, strike out the words "in the manner prescribed by
the provisions of this Act."

Section 34. Strike out the section.

Section 35. Add at the end of the section : And provided
that said payments for rents shall be charged only to the ap-
propriations made by law for military purposes, and the ac-
counts shall be audited and settled at the Treasury, as here-
inbefore provided for contracts and expenditures for military
purposes.

Section 40, line 1, strike out "military white in," and in-
sert militia when called into ; and strike out at the end of
the section, "when the military are discharged from actual
service, they shall be allowed pay, rations, and transporta-
tion to their respective homes."

Strike out section 41.

Section 44. Strike out at the end, "and the Governor, as
Commander-in-Chief, is hereby freely authorized to apply
the said funds as will, in his judgment, best effecuate the
purposes of this Act," and insert, and no expenditures, or
contracts for expenditure, shall be made for military purposes
whatsoever exceeding the appropriations provided by Act of
the General Assembly.
