President, Fields, Carroll, Hyland, Denson, Hammond, Earle, Lee—8. House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 96 to 109 in- clusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, for Charles county, under the head of Roads, and to enact the following in lieu thereof, Was taken up, and Mr. Maddox moved to add to the end of the title the fol- lowing : And to provide a road system for St. Mary's county. Which was adopted, and, The bill as amended, Was then passed by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Hammond, Browne, Lee, Biggs, Maddox, Brewer, Miller, Clarke, Malone, Carroll, Parker, of Calvert, Denson, Spates, Earle, Smith, Henkle, Welch—19. Hyland, NEGATIVE—None. And returned to the House of Delegates. House bill entitled an Act to amend and add additional sections to the Act passed at the January session, 1867, of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled an Act to es- tablish and incorporate an Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb of the State of Maryland, to follow section 13, Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol- lows : AFFIRMATIVE.
