710 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 26, Fields, Spates, Grove, Walsh, Henkle, Welch—21. Hyland, NEGATIVE—Mr. Smith—1. The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article 96, of the Code of Public General Laws, regulating the charges on Grain. Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Agriculture. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article 42, of the Code of Public General Laws, empowering the Governor to remove insane convicts confined in the Penitentiary, and provide for their support in some suitable Institution within the State. Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit- tee on Judicial Proceedings. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to provide for the sale of a por- tion of the furniture in the Executive Mansion. Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee on Public Buildings. Also, delivered House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 939, Article 4, of the Public Local Laws, relating to Baltimore city, sub- title Water, as enacted by chapter 38, of the Act of the Gen- eral Assembly, passed at the January session, 1866, and to re-enact the said section so as to read as follows. Which was read a first time and referred to the Baltimore city delegation. On motion by Mr. Earle, The Senate adjourned until 8 P. M. |
