For want of a constitutional majority.

Mr. Earle moved that the vote by which the above bill
was rejected,

Be reconsidered.

Which was determined in the affirmative by yeas and nays
as follows;

Clarke, Miller,

Earle, Smith,

And on further motion by Mr. Earle, the bill was ordered
to lie on the table.

House bill entitled an Act appointing a Committee with
authority to purchase a lot or lota of ground in the city of
Annapolis, and causing to be erected thereon a mansion for
the Governor of this State, and making an appropriation
therefor.
Was taken up on its passage,
By unanimous consent,

Mr, Walsh offered the following amendments:
Additional section, to be section 5.

And be it enacted, That all laws or parts of laws heretofore
passed having reference to the purchase of a site for, or erec-
tion of a Government House, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed .

And section 5 to be section 6.
Which were adopted.

And the bill as amended was then passed by yeas and nays
