Which was adopted.
Mr. Hammond submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 7, by striking out all after the word "en-
acted," and inserting in lien thereof the following:

"That any resident of this State, owning or having in his
possession any canoe or other small boat, may, upon appli-
cation to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the county wherein
he may reside, or to the Clerk of the Court of Common
Pleas of the city of Baltimore, if he be a resident of said city,
obtain license to take or catch oysters in any of the waters of
this State, not included in any county lines, with rakes or
tongs, from the first day in June, in each and every year, to
the first day of June, in the following year."

Mr. Grove submitted the following as an amendment to
the amendment:

Amend by adding:

"That all persons non-residents of the State shall have'
the right to fish in the bay and its tributaries for shell or
other fish, provided they take out a license from the State of
Maryland, but in no wise to interfere with the rights of
owners within county limits."

Which was rejected.

The question then recurred upon the adoption of the amend-
ment offered by Mr. Hammond,

And it was determined in the negative.
Mr. Hammond submitted the following amendment:

Section 8, lines 4 and 5, after the word "by," strikeout
the word keel, and insert the word top, or overall.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Hammond submitted the following amendment :

Amend section 9, line 6, by striking out the word "State"
and inserting the word county.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Maddox submitted the following amendment :

Section 10, line 6, strike out the word "June," and insert
the words, March, June and September.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Hammond submitted the following amendment :

Section 13, line 5, strike out after the word "tackle," the
words, apparel and other property, and insert the words;
and furniture.
