On motion of Mr. McCulloh,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to make valid a bequest of Lydia Steyer, late of
Allegany county, to the English Lutheran church of Frost-
burg.
On motion of Mr. Harden,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of Car-
roll and Frederick counties, to subscribe to the capital stock of
the Woodsborough and Pipe Creek Turnpike Road Company.
On motion of Mr. Mullin,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to legalize the volume known as Supplement
to the Maryland Code, containing the Acts of the General
Assembly, passed at the sessions of 1861, 1861-62, 1864.
1865, 1866 and 1867, arranged in Articles and sections to
correspond with the Code, by Lewis Mayer of the Baltimore
Bar, and recently published by John Murphy & Co., of Bal-
timore ; and to authorize and direct the State Librarian to
subscribe for and distribute a certain number of the copies
of the same, and appropriating a sum of money for the same.
On motion of Mr. Boyer,
Leave was granted to the Kent and Queen Anne's county
delegations to introduce a bill to alter and amend the 130th
section of Article 14 of the Public Local Laws, relating
to Kent county.
On motion of Mr. Kean,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to incorporate the Maryland Union Coal Com-
pany.
On motion of Mr. Corbin,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to make valid the binding of colored appren-
tices by the Orphans' Courts of the several counties of this
State, since the adoption of the Constitution of 1864.
On motion of Mr. Boyer,
Leave was granted to the Kent and Queen Anne's county
delegations to introduce a bill to alter and amend the 124th
section, of Article 14, of Public Local Laws, relating to Kent
county.
On motion of Mr. Conway,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to make eight hours a legal days work, for
all work done by authority of this State.
