Strike out from beginning of section 18 to word registration
inclusive, in 4th line, and insert :
Said Clerks and Registers of Wills shall receive said copies

of lists of qualified voters, and file the same in their offices as
other papers are filed, and said Clerks shall receive and pre-

serve books of registration, and said Clerks and Registers in
the city of Baltimore shall receive said lists.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Miller offered the following :

Insert the words of Baltimore city in the 3d line of section

tion 21, after the word " Wills."

Which was adopted.
Mr. Smith offered the following :

Amend section 21, line 8, strike out the word " two " and
insert one.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kimmel offered the following amendment :
Section 21, line 9, insert in blank the words twenty-five

cents.

Which was adopted.
Mr. Miller offered the following amendment :

Insert after the word " and " in 5th line, section 21, the
words, the Clerks of Courts and Registers of Wills in the
several counties and the city of Baltimore shall receive.

Strike out the word " and " in 5th line, section 21, after

the word "lists."

Which was adopted, and

The bill as amended was read a second time, and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Brewer, from the Committee on the Library, made the
following report:

REPORT.

Your committee beg leave to report that, in pursuance of
the duty devolved upon them, they have examined the
vouchers presented by the late Librarian for his disburse-
ments, and find the same correct, They have also received
the annual report of that officer, which is herewith sub-
mitted.

 
Your committee regret to report great imperfections in the
Library—a Library which should be an honor to the State.
Its shelves are wanting in books indispensable to a State
Library, and which no private collection of any pretensions
