Which was read and referred to the Somerset and Dor-
chester delegations.

Mr. McCulloh presented the petition of John M. Buckan-
non and sundry other citizens of Allegany county, praying
the Legislature to pass a bill authorizing the County Com-
missioners of Allegany county to levy a sum of money to
repair or build a new road from the Pennsylvania line to the
Plank road at Krighams.

Which was read and referred to the Allegany delega-
tion.

Mr. Keech presented the petition of eleven citizens of Prince
George's county, praying the amendment of the Public Local
Law of said county relating to fences.

Which was read and referred to" the Prince George's dele-
gation .

Mr. Chaisty presented a memorial from the Medical
Faculty of the University of Maryland, asking an appropri-
ation in aid of the University Hospital.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Conway presented the memorial of St. Mary's Indus-
trial School for Boys, of the city of Baltimore.

Which wag read and referred to the Committee on Ways

and Means.

Mr. Robb submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the bill entitled an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore City Grain Elevator and Storage Company, intro-
duced at the last session of the General Assembly be with-
drawn from the files of the House.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Smith, of Worcester, submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the name of each member of this House be
printed an a separate piece of paper, together with the coun-
ty he represents and the Committee of this House to which
he belongs, and that the same be pasted on the back of the
desks of the members.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Chapman submitted the following order :

Ordered. That leave of absence be granted to Mr. John
W. Mitchell for one day, to attend to pressing business.

Which was adopted.
