A bill entitled a further supplement to an Act entitled an
Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Cuba Smelting and
Mining Company, passed at December session, 1844.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled an Act to provide a summary remedy
against Sheriffs for making false returns to any writ of fieri
facias or other execution by adding a new section to Article
88 of the Code of Public General Laws, title " Sheriff."

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled an Act to protect the navigation of the
Patuxent River.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled an Act to compensate Charles J. M. Gwinn,
Wm. P. Maulsby and Bernard Carter, Commissioners ap-
pointed by the Governor to prepare drafts of laws pursuant
to the provisions of the 48th section of the 3d Article of the
Constitution of this State.
Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled an Act to authorize Tench Tilghman, his
heirs or assigns, to erect a bridge across the head waters of
Town Creek, at Oxford, in Talbot county.

Endorsed : " Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill entitled an act directing the Treasurer to pay to
the School Commissioners of Howard county the sums of
money due by the State from the Academic fund.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore Ice
Company.

ment :"

Add at the end of section 4 :

And they shall give at least 30 days' notice of the time of
opening the books of subscription to the stock, to be pub-
lished daily in one newspaper in the city of Baltimore.
