610 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 23, MONDAY, March 23d, 1868. The Senate met pursuant to adjournment. Prayer by the Rev. Father Burke. Present at roll call : Messrs. President, Browne, Biggs, Brewer, Clarke, Car- roll, Denson, Earle, Henkle, Hyland, Kimmel, Lee, Maddox, Parker, of Calvert, Spates, Snyder—16. Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to repeal the charter or Act of incorporation of the Locust Point Steam Ferry Company of Maryland. Which was read the second time. Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Mechanics Loan and Savings Institute of Clearspring, Maryland. Which was read the second time. Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to alter and amend the Act of January session, 1867, chapter 304, entitled an Act to incorpo- rate the Central Maryland Railroad Company, passed on the 18th day of March, in the year 1867. Which was read the second time. Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to amend and add additional sections to the Act passed at the January session, 1867, of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled an Act to estab- lish and incorporate an asylum for the deaf and dumb of the State of Maryland, to follow section 13. Which was read the second time. Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act supplementary to, and amend- atory of an Act passed at the present session of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad Company, passed at January session, 1849, chapter 469. |
