Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the People's Tow- ing and Transportation Company, of Baltimore. Which was read the second time. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 49, of Article 88, of the Code of Public General Laws, title Sheriff, sub-ti- tle Collection of Officers' fees, and to amend and re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the first time. Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 28 and 29, of Article 56, of the Code of Public General Laws, and to re- enact the same with amendments, so as to read as follows : Which was read the second time. Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to restore to the West Notting- ham Academy, in Cecil county, the annual donation of five hundred dollars out of the school fund of said county. Which was read the second time. Also, reported Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to James Ensor, of Baltimore city, the sum of fifty dollars erroneously paid into the Treasury of the State. Which was read the first time. Mr. Hyland, from a select committee, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to repeal the first section of the Act of January session, 1864, chapter 309, entitled an Act to add new sections to Article 22, of the Code of Public Local Laws, of Worcester county, for the protection of partridges, and re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the second time. Also, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to amend an Act, passed at the January session, 1868, entitled an Act to amend the 4th sec- tion of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session, 1864, chapter 29, entitled an Act to incorporate the Kent county Railroad Company, passed on the 8th day of March, 1856, chapter 148, to add four sections thereto, and to appoint four new Commissioners in the place of four deceased Commissioners. Which was read the second time. |
