The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act to
regulate the issuing of license for the sale of speritous or fer-
mented liquors within the borough of North East, in Cecil
county, passed at January session 1864, chapter 348, and to
enact the following in lieu thereof.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Senators
from Cecil, Harford and Carroll.

A bill entitled an Act to increase the number of free scholar-
ships in the Baltimore Female College, and to change the
manner of appointing the beneficiaries and Board of Trustees.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Education.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Emmettsburg
Rail Road Company.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Smith from a select committee reported Senate bill en-
titled an Act to add an additional section to the Public Local
Laws of Dorchester county, Article 10, entitled Dorchester
county.

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Clarke,

It was ordered, that the Chairman of the Committee on Print-
ing, be and he is hereby required to furnish for the use of the
Executive Chamber, one hundred and fifty copies of the Con-
stitution such as are now furnished to the Senate by the Pub-
lic Printer, and at the same expense as those now furnished
to the Senate.

On motion by Mr. Kimmel,
The following message was sent to the House of Delegates :

March 21st, 1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the
Senate for its further consideration the bill entitled "An
